I am buying a Canon digital camera, which is the best model in the SD line? I have narrowed my digital camera purchase down to the Canon SD line. I am looking at the 850is, the 750 and the 1000. The 850 and the 750 are very close in price and the 1000 is significantly cheaper. I can't seem to find many differences between the 3 and was wondering if anyone had any experience between any of these? Thanks
Canon SD 750 battery not charging. What can I do to fix it? About ten months ago I purchased a Canon SD 750. About a month ago I went to charge the battery and saw that it was going strait from no charge to fully charged. On Canon's website the only option to fix the problem is bringing the camera in for repair. I don't have time before my impending vacation to send the camera to a repair center and wait for it to return. Should I replace the battery, charger, or both?
What's a better digital camera - Canon Powershot SD 1000 or Panasonic Lumiz DMC TZ2 or 3 ? I'm looking for a good digital camera. After looking around for what's available, I noticed these two - Canon Powershot SD 1000 - Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ2 or TZ3 (3 may not be available..) I'm not sure which to go with though. I enjoyed handling the Panasonic at the store, and the canon may be a bit smaller than I prefer. But I've read about noise problems with the panasonic - does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? I'm still in the dark about cameras, despite all the reading I've done! And is the Canon Powershot SD800 much better than the SD1000? It is more expensive so I wasn't going to consider it... but I would if it's substantially better. What do you recommend? Thanks so much!
How to fix self timer on canon sd 600? The self timer on my canon sd 600 digital camera used to be able to be set either at 10 sec. or at 2 sec. Now it will only let me set it at 2 sec. How can I fix this?
I lost a part for my Canon SD camera... Where to get a new one? I have a Canon SD20 digital camera. I lost that part that connects the camera to the computer... it's white..? I have no idea what it's called. I think that it's the same kind that is used with other SD cameras, but not all of them, if that's helpful. My question is, where can I get another one of those? I looked around on the Canon website and they have all these "Accesories" and stuff, but I just want the basic cable/cord/whatever it's called. Anyone any more tech-savvy know the answer?
How fast SD card to use with Canon SX 100IS? Has anyone gotten any success using faster SD card with their Canon SX 100IS Camera? I want to use it for continuous shooting and video recording which requires faster SD card. I contacted Canon and they told me they don’t rate their camera’s read/ write speed of card reader inside the camera. How do I know what is the fastest SD Card to buy? I don’t want to waste my money on faster memory card if my camera can’t utilize it.
What is the best SD Memory Card for a Canon Rebel XSi? I'm upgrading from a Canon Rebel, which uses Compact Flash. It's a bummer since I have like 16gb in memory cards for it, so I'm going to have to buy SD cards. I read somewhere that the XSi will only take up to 4gb memory cards - is this true? And although I won't be shooting 3.5fps all the time, sometimes I will be for weddings and really important shoots. Therefore, I am looking for writing speed and the highest available capacity. after taking a picture with my canon sd 1000, i press DISP. and something weird happens? it gives me a zoom out of the image and a rectangle in the middle which i can move around and it makes two of them zooming in the image. what is this? is it just to look at your image in detail? i just take a picture and while it is displaying it for a few seconds i press DISP. (display of course) and it gives me this option does it do anything else than just zoom in certain areas?
Why does my canon SD 400 only record for 3 minutes? My canon SD 400 will only record video for 3 minutes. I have a 2gb card, and it says it has 12' 12" of recording time. Why is it shutting off at 3 minutes? its not battery life, I have a fully charged battery. Please help!
how good is the Canon SD 870 IS? I like this camera because of the wide lens and other options. However, I need a camera that takes good quality low light pictures (at restaurants, night time, or a club) that do not come out blurry (w/o flash) or whitewashed (w/ flash). I've heard some people say this camera isn't the best for those uses...so which ones are?
Canon SD 950 and 870 memory questions and OT? What is the fastest memory on the market for these two cameras? What is the largest memory chips available for these cameras? Please provide link to information. Do charger stands (like an ipod has) exist for either of these two cameras? Does either camera have a silent mode so that when I take a picture, there is no noise? problem with my canon digital SD 100 camera? i can not see anything from the window. it went black. at first, we can take pictures but a few came out pink-age or red. we recently changed battery, thinking it might be the problem. i can still view old pictures. flash light working OK. what would be the problem?

Canon SD 1000 Accesories? I am getting a Canon SD 1000 camera for christmas from my parents, and was wondering besides the cases by canon, are there any other cute or small cases and places to get things like batteries cheaper then through canon?? The camera is quite small, so most cases seem to triple the size and what not... im looking for a more of a lowprofile case. Thank you!!

canon sd series dont have manual options, good or bad? i got an answer that sd series from canon dont have manual operartions,it only have automatic operations.in case of 'a' series there is both..,if this feature is not available does it make ne difference in quality and features,i mean is it a aadvantage to have manual operations too for 1st time buyer..and how is the 'ixus' series..does this also lack manual operation..if no then is it better than 'a' series.

Canon SD 1000 cracked LCD screen? My Canon SD 1000 has a "cracked" LCD screen. I can't find any of the paperwork that would say if it's under warranty (it probably isn't...) Does anyone know how much this would cost to fix?
Canon SD 700, 800, G7 & Nikon P5000? I've been examining a Canon SD700 and SD800 and have been having trouble deciding between the two. The 700 has the longer zoom, which I need, but I could also use the wide angle just as well. I need something fast, that's shoots well in low-lighting, and shows great colour & sharpness. I take a lot of movies, and use special functions, continuous shots, widescreen, a lot too (stitch, macro, my colours, etc.). Size is a factor, so I'm avoiding SLRs altogether. Cosmetic appeal would be nice too (my priorities are movie, and especially photo quality, but it would be nice to have a camera that was just cool looking too). Recently, I saw two other cameras - the G7 and the Nikon P5000. CAn anyone tell me how these would compare to the Elphs (700 & 800 SD)? Which would I be better off getting? I realize there are price differences, but putting those aside... Any replies would be great!!
debating between canon SD 1000 or Sony Cybershot W 80? I want to buy a digital camera I am stuck between canon SD 1000 ( doesn't have image stabilization good for blurry images or sony cybershot W 80 ( digital zoom is only 2x) or SD 750 ( doesn't have image stabilization and optical viewfinder) please help me choose the right one
Which Canon is better for me? SD 750 or 850? I have/had a canon sd 450 but the lcd screen went two weeks ago and now the lens is jammed out so its pretty much garbage. Other then it breaking, the only major complaints I had were the semi-slow picture taking time, and blurry pictures due to my slightly unsteady hand (I love taking candid shots.) I also felt the zoom range and flash could use some improvement but overall I was happy with my camera. I want to know if the 850 is worth the extra $$ or if there is another compact camera that would be recommended to me.
How come Canon's digital SD 1000 series are cheaper than the 800s & 900s? I was just checking out the new Canon SD 1100's specs and they seem pretty good. Actually they seem better than the SD850is, SD870is, and SD900s in terms of specs. How come it's cheaper though? Aren't usually models in succession (like the higher the number, the more advanced), better they are and more expensive? The Canon SD1100's are available for about $245, while the SD870is's are about $275. They are both pretty comparable in specs: - Both are 8.3 Megapixels - Both have same ISO settings (80 through 1600) - Both have same Still Image Recording specs - Slightly different focal lengths - 1100's 6.2-18.6mm to 870's 4.6-17.3mm - Same Digital Zoom - Same card types - 1100 has a couple more shooting modes - Almost same shutter speeds - 1100 at 15-1/1500s and 870 at 15-1/1600sec The biggest difference is the screen size - which the 1100 has a 2.5in compared to 3in for the 870. So what's up with the price differences really? Are they the same camera basically except for the screen?
Fuji Finepix F30 or Canon SD 700? I'm looking to buy a camera soon, and have narrowed it down to the Fuji F30 or possibly a Canon SD (630, 700, 550). I'm a bit skeptical of the Fuji since not many places carry it and it uses the xD-Picture Card. I'm a novice photographer and am looking for a great all around camera. Should I go with Canon or Fuji?
I'm looking at the Canon SD line.....? ....and wondering what you think of the cameras. I just about bought the SD1000, then a friend talked me out of it, suggesting the A line is better (he was suggesting the A720 IS). Though I really like the Elph look, I'm not adverse to the A line. Another one butted in and said that the Canon SD 750 is better for the price, but if I want to spend a few more shekels I should buy an SD850 IS. I read the reviews, all seem to be great cameras. I'm curious what you think.
Canon Download: PowerShot SD 600? Hi guys! Alright I have a Canon PowerShot SD 600, I've taken pictures but when I tried to upload them my computer doesn't read them. I know I'm supposed to use the CD software that came in the box but it is lost somewhere and I can't seem to find. I've been online to the canon troubleshoot page but I can't seem to download the right software for my computer. This has been driving me crazy. If anyone could help me download the right software I would greatly appreciate it. You might have to use simple computer jargen because i have no idea what half of this stuff means. canon sd 400 and windows vista? I have recently updated my window to vista, when i plug my camera to the computer to upload the images, my computer can not find the camera. I am thinking maybe vista does not support canon drivers. does anyone know anything about this? Also I have looked on canon site, they have not noteded anything about this problem.
Batteries for Canon SD 800? I consider buying this camera, I know it has Canon NB-5L Battery and I wonder if I can use some generic ones instead as well as original (in case one of them is drained) I am also moving to Europe and I will be leaving in the Netherlands for the most part, but also in Poland. Can I use the batteries form the camera purchased in the Stated, in Europe using different charger (a one that works with Duch/Polish plugs and voltage). Should I get the Canon SD 800 or the SD 900? Here's the tie breaker that's bothering me. SD 900- doesn't have an image stabilizer 10 mp titanium! SD 800-has an image stabilizer 7.1mp Is the image stabilizer nessecary? I really don't care about the price and want a one that is reliable and I can use for a long time. Also, are the softwares that come with it useful?
image stabilization help for canon sd?? I posted almost the same question yesterday , but it seems the people who answered misunderstood me, so that's why I'm posting this a second time but with more detail. I recently bought a canon sd1100( which i might note is still a good cam) and i read a lot of reviews that the image stabilization (IS) is great on this camera. But I can't seem to get that part to work because i still get blurry pictures .And anyone who originally read my first posting I don't mean getting photos without blurryness all the time, well the thing is i used to have a minolta digital camera and it didn't have the IS but it would get less blurry pics than the canon sd1100 . Well, I even check the option to see if the image stablization was on and it was on continuous. So for me I don't really notice the image stabilization most of the time, because it doesn't feel like it's working any differently or better than a non IS camera in getting focused .so if anyone knows please let me kno
Panasonic DMC-TZ3 or Canon SD 850 IS? I already have a few SLRs (digi and film), so the zoom isn't an issue. I just want good quality pictures at a snap. I've never owned a point and shoot before, used a copule a bit but didn't like them much, one was a Canon A5 something or other (no IS), the other a Kodak or sorts. Now I want a back up to my hefty cams, something I can take everywhere. Both the TZ3 and 850 IS come highly recommended, but I'm not sure. HELP! or if you have any other suggestions

canon sd 850 is or sd 870 is? as of now i like the look of the 870 is more but i'm not sure if it's worth the extra money i mostly want it for low light environments such as taking pictures of performances on stage so i'm not sure if there is a difference between these two that makes it better for that? as for the wide angle on the 870 i don't think i really care about that amazon has a good deal on the 850 + memory card but the look of the 870 is better for me
canon sd 750 pictures too bright? All of my pictures are too bright. However, if I turn off the flash, the camera warns me that it's too shaky, and the picture turns out blurred. Any remedies? Canon SD 450 Recording Function? when i record...it appears to always stop after 60 seconds which is 1 minute...can i record longer then 1 minute or is it normal like it is now?

canon sd 750 users!? sometimes when i press the shutter, it wont take a picture and the light flash symbol is blinking on the screen while pressing the shutter... but it works after few seconds again. is this normal???
Canon SD 630, 1000, or 900 ? Looking for a small camera to carry constantly. I'd like high qaulity images which will look good blown up for presentations. Movie mode doesnt have to be over the top, but again adequete for short segments in presentations. My budget is up to about $400. What is your opinion? P.S. are high speed memory cards worth it?
