canon sd 400 and windows vista?
I have recently updated my window to vista, when i plug my camera to the computer to upload the images, my computer can not find the camera. I am thinking maybe vista does not support canon drivers. does anyone know anything about this? Also I have looked on canon site, they have not noteded anything about this problem.

- There's still no link on the australian site, but here's the software update from Canon US (released only this week) Go to http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=DownloadIndexAct Choose "EOS (SLR) Camers Systems" in box 1 Choose "Digital EOS Cameras" in box 2 Choose "Digital Rebel Xti" in box 3 Press "Go" Somewhere around here there's a link to download drivers - click that link. You'll get a new window, where you can choose "ZoomBrowser Ex5.8b Updater for Windows" Once that's finished, go back and get "EOS Utility 2.0 Updater for Windows". __THIS__ is the one you need so Vista can talk to your camera. Then for good measuer, get "Canon RAW Codec 1.0 for Windows Vista" - this apparently allows RAW files to be previewed, etc, in windows explorer - about time, eh? All the best.
