canon SD 1000, SD 900, SD 850 or SD 750?

my mom want to give me a camera as a birthday gift. which one should i choose??? i want good quality with a good price.... thanks

1. Best if cost is issue: SD1000 - can be found for about little more than $200 online (such as Newegg.com, Buydig.com, etc.). Canon's typically have very good image quality. Also nicely built, good handling, and stylish. Best if cost is not an issue: SD850 - successor to one of the best compacts in recent years, SD700. Optical image stabilization, great image quality. (I know, I know, Canon's naming/model numbering system doesn't really make sense...)
2. I own and love the SD900, but I would answer exactly the same as Donghwa L. I gave my daughter the SD700-IS for HER birthday and she loves it. The SD850-IS has replaced the SD700-IS and that's the one you should wish for. It costs $400 and the SD1000 is about half that price, though, so it depends on whether you've been a good girl or not...
