Has your Canon Elph digital cameras, LCD cracked?

I bought a Canon sd400, and the screen cracked in less than a month. No fault of my own, I took a few pictures, picked up the camera and the screen was cracked. Anyone else have this problem. I want to buy another one, but not if the quality is suspect. Thanks.

1. I have friends with very similar Canon products, and have never heard of an LCD screen spontaneously cracking. From the forums or camera groups I read, nor there have I heard of an LCD screen doing this. Is it possible the camera dropped on its own, perhaps by someone else and they didn't tell you about it? If it was impossible that any external force cracked the glass, then perhaps you did get some defective model, but its in no way indicative of Canon's overall quality - they make sturdy LCD screens that don't crack on their own.
