A cheap Canon Digital Camera with HD video recording?

I'm thinking of upgrading my digital camera and the other day I saw that the Kodak V1253 records videos in HD but it has some negative points so I was wondering if there is a Canon (a brand which I previously had and was satisfied with) that records videos at 720. All between a reasonable price. I'm not talking about a U$500 camera. If there isn't a cheap one, then which Canon do you recommend that has good video and audio quality?

3. It's the Canon Powershot TX1. It's officially $500, but if you shop around you might get it for half that. The Kodak one actually has a bigger sensor, so it has a lower zoom but better low light performance. What didn't you like about the Kodak? Because of the larger sensor, I'd personally get the Kodak out of the two. What am I missing?
