Canon EOS Rebel K2 35mm Camera Help!?

I just bought a Canon EOS Rebel K2 35mm camera for a film class. Our first assignment consist of us taking pictures in Manual Exposure Mode. We have to be able to change the shutter speed and the aperture. I figured out how to change the shutter speed but I can not figure out how to change the aperture manually! I know on old cameras you can do it on the lense but on mine you have to do it on the LCD panel! And it stays on 5.6 and will not change! I have got to be able to take normal, under, and over exposed photos! Can anyone help me???

  1. The button at the top right of the LCD screen. Av+- Camera in manual mode, push Av+- and hold while turning wheel by shutter button. Aperture will change on LCD screen. Page 36 in my operators manual explains it.
