Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III or Canon EOS 1D Mark III?

I have a Canon 40D and I have great success with taking all around Pictures with it, from Scenery, to Sports, and Few Potriats (Outdoor Only). I started with the Original Canon Rebel 35mm the Adre Agassi Endorse and it still works like the first day I bought it. I up to the Canon Digital Rebel XT then the 40D. The lenses I have for the Digital are The 17-88mm IS EF-S, the 28-135mm IS EF and last a 100-400mm IS EFL. I considered my Digital all investments and I have been seriously looking to make a major investment in the EOS 1D Mark III or the IDs Mark III. I know the 1Ds has the full frame and the 1D does not. But I want to know more and get more feed back. I know there is a 4000.00 dollar diffrence even seen a 1Ds at a camera exchange for half the retail price canon offers. (Use of Course) Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

  1. go to the discovery section to see if there are similar questions
  2. This site has info on the 1Ds http://best.cameras.ever.com
  3. The fulll frame is more suited to studio and landscape work while the "normal" 1D is better for sports and reportage, with faster shooting rates being more important than ultiamte image quality. Also the ISO ranges are different with the 1D being better in lower light conditions. http://photography.suite101.com/article.cfm/canons_new_pro_digital_camera
  4. You should also consider the 5D. Best full frame value.
