Canon sd1100 elph (coming soon)?
I want to purchase the new elph which is coming out in march. I have a slr (canon xt), but I need a small camera for the basic day to day shooting. Is it supposed to be a good model? Can anyone give me advice if this is one to buy? Or perhaps a different model is better? I am attracted to the small size because I would like to carry it with me. Some help? tips?

- I have been looking at purchasing a small-factor digital camera also, and from what I have read, the Canon SD850IS ($250) and Canon SD870IS ($300) are rated very highly. As far as I can tell, there is little to differentiate the two models, the 870 has a bigger LCD screen though. Both are approximately the same size as the SD1000. While the model number of the 1000 is higher, the 850 and 870 have more features, including the image stabilization (IS) feature, which I am told is extremely useful. Of course, given my luck, by the time I am ready to buy, Canon will introduce newer models, and I will lose interest in the SD850/870 :-)
