- It's great, but I would go for either the Canon SD1100 IS, the Sony W80, or Panasonic FX30. They all have optical image stabilization, which is really good in low light situations.
- its a veery good little camera i was thinkin of gettin it too but i dont have the money at the present time lol
- For the price, it is a good little camera, but it is lacking either a view finder or IS. You need at least one of those features to assure sharp images shooting in low light situations without flash. For about $30 more you can get a great camera that has both. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_sd750%2Ccanon_sd700is&show=all
- This camera can take an excellent picture providing you are technically a very competent photographer, or very lucky. Otherwise, it probably isn't it the camera for you (or for most normal point-and-shoot photographers). The camera lacks one feature I consider very important to a point and shoot photographer. It has no optical viewfinder. This means that you must take all of your pictures holding the camera out from your head and arms length in order to see the pictures you are getting. Holding any camera in this manner is the least stable way you can possibly hold a camera. Unless you use a tripod or the built-in electronic flash for almost every picture, most of your images will be blurred due to camera movement. Two better choices in this type of camera would be the Power Shot SD 1000 (a little less money) or the Power Shot SD 1100 IS (a little more money but with image stabilization which is a nice feature to have in a point and shoot camera). Do yourself a favor and buy something other than the SD 750 and you will be far happier with the results you get from your point-and-shoot pictures. Hope this helps you make your decision.
- I have the SD400 Digital ELPH, I bought it in 2005, and LOVE it! Its easy to use, takes good pictures, has been dropped countless times (my 8 year old cousin dropped it on the driveway and although it had a tiny scuff on it, wasn't hurt at all), and the software is easy to use. I've never had any problems with it. I am totally sold on Canon. I don't know any specifics about the 750 but I would imagine it would be that much better, since they've had 3 years to make improvements since the 400. Good luck!
