- All canon EF lenses will fit it without an adaptor. any canon EF-S lenses won't fit. And any non canon brand wont fit unless with an adaptor unless made for The canon EOS cameras.
- Tokina, Tamron, and Sigma AF lenses in the Canon EOS/AF mount will fit, as will Canon EF lenses. The EF stands for Electro-Focusing, and it's the EOS AF mount. Canon EF-S lenses will fit, but will cut off part of the image on an EOS S II, as they are designed for a smaller digital sensor. As you correctly note, the manual focus FD lenses will not meter/mount.
- You have it covered... Canon EOS EF, EF-S mount lenses are the ones
- Any lens that has a Canon EF mount will work on your camera. If it is a EF-S mount, it won't and so don't try to use one. I don't know if you can even get an EF-S on your camera (it will not mount on the full frame CMOS digital cameras) but if you can get an EF-S mount on your older film camera and try to use it, your camera mirror will hit the back of the lens and lock everything up. Damage to your camera and the EF-S lens could easily result.
