when will canon release its next model of the ELPH cameras in 2008?
is it worth it to wait for the next model of cameras to be released to purchase a camera?

- I have no idea. They just brought out the sd1000 and sd750 back in 07. Best Buy usually gets new Canon models in around spring and summer.
- Most likely they will release information (new models and specs, also release dates) later this month at PMA. It is the huge annual trade show that most manufacturers use to announce new products.
- You would have to ask Canon about that. If you have a satisfactory camera now, you might want to wait, but if you don't have a camera the currant model ELPH cameras are great picture takers when used properly. If you wait for the newest model or most recent upgrade, you will never buy a camera and won't have pictures (which is the point of buying a camera). Buy your choice of a Canon now. In a few months there will be something new but you will still have great pictures that should thrill you. Like computers, you will never have the "latest thing" more than a few weeks, and unless you are trying to maintain a status symbol, it won't make a bit of difference!
