How do I get the best photos with a Canon SD 700 IS camera?

  1. Sell it and get a Nikon D80.
  2. I would say you need to first read the manual properly and become very comfortable with the settings. Next, if you dont have a proper background in photography, you should try reading up on it. You can subscribe to a couple of magazines on photography and digital photography in particular. Lastly, join a forum of the Canon camera users and you should pick up plenty of pointers. Be sure to keep your camera lens clean and always take photos at the max res.
  3. i think that camera is not so great like the say. I should change it if you not happy with it.
  4. Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa. picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera. It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips. It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google Download it free in here: http://www.bernanke.cn/google-picasa/ Good Luck!
  5. The best way to get good photos is to learn how the camera works, what its limitations are...and how to get the best from it. And sometimes, that can only be done by using it...many times. The SD700 IS is an excellent little point and shoot camera. It has image stabilizing, which can help with some shots. There are no real manual controls with the SD700 IS...so you have to select one of the scene modes. However, you can select M (manual) and choose your own ISO setting. Keep it low to about 80 or 100. Unfortunately with many digital cameras you will sometimes have to spend a little time post processing them on your PC to sharpen them etc.
