I just bought a New Canon Sd 1000 for $130 was that a good purchase?

I really didn't know much about the camera, I bought it because I heard Canon is the best out there. I bought it new. So was that a good purchase?? Thank you.

1. It is only a good purchase if it works for you and obtains the results you are after, otherwise no. Everything in cash terms is only worth what someone is prepared to pay, nothing more. If you bought it to resell, then you will know if it was a good purchase by what you obtain for it. Regards.
2. From what I have seen and heard - yes, it was a good purchase. I have been looking at cameras a lot lately, and this one came highly recommended. I declined though because it isn't quite powerful enough for me. But it should be enough to make the average user happy. Whether or not this was a good deal for you personally ... only you will be able to answer that. But I think you will at least be happier with it than you would with a film camera :)

4. My understanding is that this camera is being discontinued, so a drop in price would be expected. The price of this camera right at this moment varies widely from site to site. Radio Shack is offering them at the same price you paid. Yet, look on Amazon.com and you will find it for $299! Many other sites are sold out. It's gotten some really good reviews from reputable digital camera review sites. So yeah, I definitely think you got a pretty good deal for yourself! Enjoy your good find!!!
