Malaysia/Singapore Prices of Nikon Coolpix L1, L2, Canon Powershot A700 or anything similar?

Hi, I'm going to be visiting Malaysia & Singapore soon and wanted to know the street prices of Digital cameras - Nikon Coolpix L1, L2, Canon Powershot A700 or anything similar as available in Malaysia and Singapore. Would the warranty be applicable in any other countries if I buy there? Trying to guage whether it would be beneficial to buy it there rather than in India.. thanks in advance

1. Go to http://www.photokaki.com/ (Malaysia photography community) and click PRICE CHECK to participate with the Malaysian forum posters. I'm sure some photography folks over there are able to give you the complete selling price. Alternatively, go to http://www.photomalaysia.com/ which is another Photo Malaysia - Photographic community forum.
2. I'm not very sure about the prices though,but I do have many Indian friends who have their relatives buying back eletronic items like cameras in Singapore to India. They must have their reasons I guess. There are a few places you can start your shopping in Singapore tho': 1) Funan Shopping Centre :- Mainly computers,but the major camera labels have their servicing centre there, like Canon. Prices are usually fixed but reasonably market-priced. You would hardly bump into a cunning merchant here. 2) Sim Lim Square :- You are required to be a little more street smart when shopping here. That's all I have to say. Compare prices as you go before you make your purchases. If luck is on your side,you could get what you desire at a steal. Happy Shopping!
